Guilty Conscience
Created for Godot Wild Jam #65 (Theme: Overload)
Experience information overload as you step into the shoes of a mind-reading animal control worker. Quickly read the animal's thoughts to identify and neutralize the perpetrator behind a vicious crime. Note: All culprits are tranquilized and sent to a rehabilitation center upstate. They go on to live happy and reformed lives :)
How to play:
- LMB to grab a thought and highlight the animal it belongs to.
- RMB to cycle between marking an animal as suspicious, eliminating them as a suspect, and returning to neutral.
- Hold spacebar while hovering over your chosen target to tranquilize.
Tips:
- Animals need to have all the traits in your notes, not just one or two.
- You can grab thoughts and throw them off screen if needed.
- Some animals may have murderous or weird thoughts, but haven't actually committed a crime. The target's traits are all you need to pay attention to.

IM SORRYRYYYY I GOT THE "YIPPEE" THOUGHT AS I WAS TRANQUILIZING THE GUY AND IT WAS TOO PERFECTLY TIMED. Like "Yippee! I'm getting arrested!"
Can you make it so that we can see target notes while we are checking off thoughts, please? I love this game a lot! My brain just has horrible memory
This is so cool! I love the adorable animals and all their strange thoughts. Sorting through the text fits the 'overwhelm' theme of the jam well, and adds a sense of urgency to the piece. Nice to see all the Aussie animals represented too - although I did feel mightily guilty shooting a blue wren when a few live in my backyard! Great stuff :)
This game is a lot of fun and I really enjoyed playing it :D
Thank you so much!
I appreciate the appreciation :3 *appreciates in chaos gay*
